History of LFAC
|
LFAC was founded in 1972 by Sister Madonna Bolton and other dedicated professionals. We are a 501c3 non-profit charitable organization dedicated to providing financial assistance to Arizona families with children who have been diagnosed with leukemia.
In the spirit of Sister Madonna and the original board, we are still an all-volunteer charity with no paid staff. The board meets at their own expense, never charging the cost of meals or travel to the foundation. We do our best to keep administrative and fund raising costs to a minimum. With individual donations, grants, bequests, and fundraisers sponsored in part or entirely by individuals or local companies, we can effectively work for the sake of these children. Please help alleviate some of the burdens associated with childhood leukemia, an always difficult and sometimes fatal disease. |
